About Plotina (Promoting Gender Balance and inclusion in research, innovation and training)
Plotina « Promoting Gender Balance and inclusion in research, innovation and training » is a European project funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the EU.
This project aims at enabling the development, implementation and assessment of self-tailored Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) with innovative and sustainable strategies for the six Research Performing Organizations (RPOs) involved.
The overall objective is to foster excellence and the social value of innovations by stimulating a gender-aware culture change, promoting the career development of both female and male researchers and integrating the gender dimension in research and analysis.
The Plotina project is a partnership between six Research Performing Organisations across Europe and it brings together different actors and countries that aim to build and promote excellence in research throughout Europe. Their commitment to excellence is also an unconditional commitment to Gender Equality. Research Performing Organizations will assess the current situation (Gender Audit), design and implement self-tailored Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) with the help of other gender expert organisations. Plotina members are sharing and learning from each other regarding effective gender actions and challenges of this process. Plotina will also contribute to developing a platform of resources that can be used by other RPOs across Europe to implement their own GEPs tailored to their own situations.
